All of Bermuda youth between the age of 15-25 are invited to apply for a crew spot on ships entered into the Tall Ships Race 2000. This race is organised by the International Sail Training Association and a number of berths have been secured and the Bermuda Port Committee need to know who may be interested.

The Race will leave Cadiz, Spain on May 7th 2000 for Bermuda taking approximately 3 weeks followed by a sail in company for Boston on June 12th, with legs to Halifax and Amsterdam rounding out the summer. Please advise which leg if all the legs fit into your plans.

This is a unique opportunity for Bermuda's youth to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience of ailing on a Tall Ship and meeting other young people from around the world. Friendships that last a lifetime are developed at sea along with leadership and teamwork skills and we encourage all keen and enthusiastic young people to apply. Experience is not a requirement as the Bermuda Port Committee has arranged for Bermuda youth the opportunity to sail in short races or cruises in 1999 with UK Sail Training Association and we will have short offshore sails here in Bermuda.
