Arrival in Bermuda Ships will be allocated berths in Dockyard or St. Georges
May 6 - Sept 9 An Exhibition, presented by the Bermuda Archives at the Bermuda Maritime Museum: "The Voyage of the HMS Vindictive."  All are welcome. Call 234-1333 for details.
June 8 - 11 ** A Cyber Cafe is available at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute, with bonafide id admission.  There will also be special prices to visit the exhibitions, at BUEI, during this week, from 9am to 5pm each day.  Trainees only pay $2!!  The Maritime Museum, in Dockyard, is also offering a special admission price of only $3 this week, with bonafide id.
June 3 - 4 Mini festivals and visits onboard at both ports during the weekend
Saturday, June 3 p.m. - President's Choice Pops Concert - St. George's
Sunday, June 4 p.m. - President's Choice Pops Concert - Dockyard
Monday, June 5 5 to 7 p.m. - Mayor of St. George's Reception for Captains and Officers of Tall Ships in St. George's Harbour, Ordnance Island
Tuesday, June 6 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. -  Beach party for trainees and crew of ships in St. George's Harbour.  Fort St. Catherine beach

6 to 9 p.m. - Heritage Nights on St. George's Town Square

Wednesday, June 7 6 to 9 p.m.  Harbour Nights on Front Street, Hamilton

9 p.m. - Beat the Retreat (Bermuda Regiment) Front Street

Thursday, June 8 Morning - Cruise ships depart Hamilton.

Afternoon - Tall Ships proceed to Hamilton to assigned berths along the docks.  Official welcome by the Gombeys

** 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. – His Excellency The Governor to host official reception for the ships' captains at Government House.. Includes government, municipal and private sector dignitaries, race officials and sponsors

6 to 10 p.m. – Tall Ships Festival on Front Street. Entertainment, food, crafts, shopping and fun for visitors and residents alike.

** 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. – Captains' Dinner at La Coquille in the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute. Guest of Honour: The Premier. Attended by ships captains, local dignitaries, sponsors and race officials

Friday, June 9 ** 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Fun water sports day at White's Island for crew and trainees. Swimming, snorkeling and small boat sailing. Refreshments available at the island but lunches will be on your own ship.  First Team events from 9 a.m. to noon; Second Team events from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.  The tender "Friendship" will provide transportation to the island, leaving Albouy's Point at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

12 to 4 p.m. – Open house on selected Tall Ships.

** 6 to 8 p.m.   – Party for professional crew at Victoria Park, who then join trainees party after 8 p.m.

** 6 to 10 p.m. – Barbecue party for trainees at Saltus Field.

8 p.m. - Partner Re Concert Under The Stars at Barr's Bay Park, featuring the band "Ginger Pig."

Saturday, June 10 ** 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. – Trainees Sports Day at the Bermuda College, Paget. Refreshments available; lunch to be held on individual ships.

12 to 4 p.m. – Open house on selected Tall Ships.

5:30 p.m. – Designated Hamilton streets closed to traffic.

6:00 p.m. – Trainees Parade led by Bermuda Regiment Band on Front Street, Queen Street to City Hall car park.  Local dignitaries invited to view from dias on Front Street, then attend Prizegiving Ceremony

7:30 p.m. – Prizegiving Ceremony at City Hall car park.  Prizes presented by H.E. The Governor

9:00 to 10 p.m. – Cultural Talent Show for visitors and locals at the City Hall car park.

Note: Restaurants and service clubs invited to provide food stalls from 7:00 p.m. to the end of the evening.

Crew Exchange: midnight to early morning
- outgoing leave for airport at midnight
- incoming arrive airport midnight

Sunday, June 11 1 to 4 p.m. - Open House on selected Tall Ships

Afternoon - Comet race from Dockyard to St. George's.   Also, Bermuda Fitted Dinghy races in Hamilton Harbour

4 p.m. - Ecumenical Service "Blessing of the Fleet" at the Flagpole on Front Street.  Premier and other local dignitaries to attend.

** 5 p.m. - Captain's Briefing at City Hall Theatre

** 6 p.m. - Casual Supper Reception for Ships Captains, VIP's and sponsors, hosted by the Mayor and the Corporation of Hamilton, at City Hall.

7 to 10 p.m. - Concert in the Park at the City Hall car park. Featuring a variety of local entertainers.  Hosted by the Mayor and sponsored by the Bank of N.T. Butterfield.

Monday, June 12

Queen's Birthday
Public Holiday

7 a.m. - Unberthing of ships in Hamilton commences.  Ships will proceed to Great Sound.  Unberthing will pause from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. during the Queen's Birthday Parade..

12 noon (approx) - Start of Parade of Sail along North Shore, past Fort St. Catherine.  Best public viewing will be along North Shore.

4 p.m. - Start of race to Charleston, or Cruise in Company to U.S. east coast, off St. David's Head.  Invited dignitaries to view race start, along with volunteers with official ID, from noon onward.  Guns will be fired from Bermuda Maritime Museum, Fort St. Catherine and Gates Fort to mark the departure of the tall ships.

Friday, June 16 ** 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. - Volunteers and sponsors wrap-up party at Barrs Bay Park.
